Literature is littered, if I could put it that way, with stories of those who doubted, causing the story to unfold in a less than desirable way. And yet once again, as in the case of negative emotions, 'doubt' is our friend because it too is an indicator and unless and until we follow its promptings, we will not be going in the direction of our dreams.
Sometimes all it takes is to actually get up out of the chair in which you are sitting; to take that first step which will point you in the right direction. To let go of lethargy and get out of your 'mind' and into your actual life, connecting with your physical body, putting one foot after the other until your mind catches up with your motivation! Of course there will still remain much to be done after this first step, but it is a beginning and once you have begun, the momentum will carry you forward if you will allow it.
It is a strange thing, but you can't take what feels bad and make it feel better, rather you have to crowd it out with better feeling thoughts, removing it from the picture altogether. It is as if the mind cannot dwell on both emotions at once, in the same way that it cannot contemplate fear and love in the same moment, and sickness and wellness at the same time. You cannot hedge your bets, it has to be one way or the other and prevaricating only cancels them both out!
