Sometimes we struggle to get through a particular phase or time in life in order to break through to something else, which beckons us in a different way. Although this might seem natural and the unwanted event appears to be an obstacle which we must conquer, in truth we are exactly where we are meant to be in any given moment. Each event, each action which unfolds is designed for our benefit; even those which are not particularly to our taste. We learn something new each time we encounter that which we do not like or choose. It is a guideline to how we prefer to proceed and in this way, it is of itself a boon. Greet everything in life with great love as it is your silent teacher.
Each night when my husband catches up with the 'news', I gaze at the scenes portrayed on the screen. In country after country, there are protest marches and societies in turmoil as a result of the prolonged nature of the Pandemic. People are rising up and expecting their chosen governments to take the kinds of actions which will remove that which is causing them so much pain. Perhaps they are looking in the wrong direction. Inside each one of us we have access to solutions which will give us great comfort, even answers in times of what we consider strife. If we are experiencing a lack of peace, perhaps as Mother Theresa suggests, it is because we have forgotten that we belong to each other.
After all problems are not stop signs, they are guidelines showing us that there is another way. Instead of joining the general throng of protest, perhaps we should be looking in a different direction? When we came forth from the Spirit world we were given all that we needed to thrive in this world. We were given emotions, which are indicators of whether we were heading in the right direction or not; joy being the signal that it was 'full steam ahead'. Other types of emotions, a little less positive perhaps, were indicating another solution. When so many are in so much pain, wouldn't you think that we would have got the message that something needed to be changed.
